Our Founder, George Bayless

George was born near Hawk Springs, WY in 1940 and spent much of his childhood at Ridgeway, MO. He grew up with an agriculture background with experience in cattle, grain, hogs and the agri-business of aerial spraying, farm equipment, livestock feed, farm supplies and grain merchandising.

George started in aviation at an early age and is qualified in several types of corporate and airline jet powered aircraft.

He is also very active in his church, his Sunday school class and several charitable and fraternal organizations from the local level to the international level. He is also a supporter of several major fish related organizations.

George developed ENVIO-WEIGHTS material for fishing tackle and other weights out of a desire to reduce lead in the environment and developed a website for the promotion of the product and product lines.

TA Tackle, his private label is named for his daughters, RGM Outdoors, an outdoor sales company is named for his granddaughters and The FFB Group is a transportation company named for his father and uncle. All business decisions are based on the family values.

He is a dedicated fisherman and fishes by the rules set forth by the International Game Fish Association.

George is very active in environmental issues concerning peoples health and the health and welfare of our environment. At the present time, the Bayless Center is under development and will be funded through a percentage of sales from his enterprises.

George also writes a monthly article for small weekly newspapers called   Grandpa and the Kids. He is also writing a book about this project.

Our History

ENVIO-WEIGHTS was developed in the 1980's and became viable in 1990. Please see www.envio-weights.com .  It was really the first commercial venture for George in the area of fishing. 

July 4, 2002 George saw on TV the media presentation of Steve Fossett and commented that Steve was getting lots of publicity and did not appear to do much promotion for humanity. (Actually what was discovered is that Steve raised lots of money for charity and awareness or other projects)  From this came Fishing 50 States in 50 Days.  It got sidetracked 3 times.  It is expected to suceed in 2010 with a different floor mat.

It was through fishing for cancer research that George discovered that a site was needed for fishing information, travel and shopping.  This produced the ever changing fishing adventures which became this site.

Then in 2007, The Step above Fishing Systems, a complete system for the disabled angler reached the point of development to start market research.  It is being marketed in the US by RGM OUTDOORS at www.rgmoutdoors.com .

Starting with the development of ENVIO-WEIGHTS it was discovered that education in the outdoors was taking a beating.  Our big boxes and mass merchandisers were selling product by in-experienced outdoors people.  Much is packaged or promoted by a TV Fishing Host or some other person looking for profit.  RGM OUTDOORS is the outdoor marketing arm for ENVIO-WEIGHTS and The Step above Fishing Systems.  The company is adding other quality outdoor products and marketing them through a dealer system.  This is not a franchise but is a marketing, sales program with soon to be mass advertising for brand loyalty.  You may look at these products and see the dealer list at www.rgmoutdoors.com

George is soon leaving the day to day management to focus on charity and marketing and FISHING.  We wish him well.
